AI in Education, Research, and Society: Interdisciplinary Perspectives from STEM and Beyond

The American Journal of STEM Education invites submissions on artificial intelligence from interdisciplinary perspectives to explore the transformative role of AI in education, research, and society.

This special issue seeks original, peer-reviewed contributions that critically examine the integration of artificial intelligence across STEM and allied disciplines. We welcome interdisciplinary approaches addressing the pedagogical, ethical, technological, and social dimensions of AI.

Topics of Interest include:

  • AI-enhanced STEM teaching and learning

  • Ethical and privacy considerations in AI education and research

  • LLMs in curriculum, assessment, and communication

  • AI applications in medicine, climate, engineering, and neuroscience

  • Research infrastructures and institutional strategies

  • AI-powered creative and scholarly projects by students and faculty

  • Interdisciplinary collaborations linking STEM with the humanities and the arts

Submission Process:

Interested authors are invited to submit a 120-word abstract summarizing their proposed manuscript.
