The American Journal of STEM Education: Issues and Perspectives (ISSN 3065-1190), published by STAR Scholars Press, invites proposals for Special Issues that address critical and emerging topics in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.

About the Journal

The American Journal of STEM Education is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal committed to advancing research and practices in STEM education. The journal publishes empirical research, reviews, and practitioner insights on topics such as:

  • Teaching strategies and innovations in STEM education
  • Best practices for diverse learners
  • Curriculum design, evaluation, and assessment issues
  • Technology integration in STEM education
  • STEM education for diverse student populations
  • Organizational challenges in STEM teaching and learning
  • Entrepreneurship and business synergies through STEM education
Special Issue Proposal Requirements

We welcome proposals for Special Issues that align with the journal’s mission and offer significant contributions to the field. Proposals should include:

  1. One-Page Plan: A clear description of the theme, its significance, and relevance to STEM education.
  2. Editor(s) of the Issue: The names and affiliations of the proposed guest editor(s), along with a brief summary of their expertise.
  3. Timeline: An estimated schedule for submission deadlines, peer review, revisions, and final publication.
  4. Funding or Institutional Support: A statement regarding any available funding or institutional support (e.g., from the dean or head of department).
