The American Journal of STEM Education: Issues and Perspectives (ISSN 3065-1190) invites submissions in English, following APA 7th edition format, for a special issue focusing on the integration of art and technology within STEM education, advancing a STEAM approach. Published by STAR Scholars Press, this multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal explores the latest research, innovations, and case studies that elevate the educational experience by blending artistic creativity with technological proficiency in STEM disciplines.

Scope of Submissions:

We seek articles that provide innovative insights into how art and technology can enrich STEM learning through:

  • Experiential and Digital Media Applications: Research on interactive digital tools, virtual reality, and AI in creating immersive STEM learning environments.
  • Equity and Accessibility: Contributions promoting digital inclusion and accessibility in STEM through integrative art-technology practices.
  • Global STEAM Perspectives: Case studies and methodologies reflecting diverse cultural contexts and inclusive educational practices that bridge technology and the arts.
  • Social Justice and Activism in STEAM: Explorations of how art and technology can be used to address social justice issues within STEM, promoting activism, empathy, and critical awareness among students.

We encourage contributions from educators, researchers, and practitioners to shape a socially inclusive and creative STEM landscape that fosters digital literacy, critical thinking, problem-solving, and a commitment to equity and social justice.

Submission Details:

Manuscripts should be written in English and adhere to APA 7th edition formatting guidelines. Submissions will be subject to a double-blind peer review process to ensure quality and rigor.
