We are thrilled to announce the transition of the Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies in Education (JISE) to a quarterly publication schedule starting in 2025. This expansion allows us to amplify impactful interdisciplinary research and address critical themes in education on a broader platform.

Invitation for Special Issue Editors

JISE is seeking passionate and innovative scholars to serve as Special Issue Editors for themed issues to be published in 2025 and 2026. This is a unique opportunity to lead critical conversations in education, engage with global contributors, and shape scholarly discourse across disciplines.

Suggested Themes (not exhaustive):
  • Artificial Intelligence and Pedagogical Innovation
  • Sustainable and Environmental Education
  • Neurodiversity and Inclusive Learning Models
  • Educational Responses to Global Health Challenges
  • Civic Engagement and Democratic Education
  • Digital Ethics in the Learning Environment
  • Cultural and Linguistic Dynamics in Education
  • Gender Studies and Educational Equity
  • Mental Health in Educational Settings

Special Issue Editors will oversee the rigorous double-blind peer-review process, curate high-quality research, and contribute to JISE’s mission of advancing interdisciplinary educational research.

How to Apply

Submit a one-page proposal including:

  • The proposed theme and its relevance to JISE’s mission.
  • A list of potential authors and contributors.
  • An outline for securing funding support.

Deadline: Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis for 2025 and 2026 publications.
