Global education is undergoing a profound transformation driven by rapid technological advancements, evolving pedagogical paradigms, and an increasing commitment to sustainability and inclusivity. Among these developments, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a powerful catalyst for reshaping teaching, learning, assessment, student support, and institutional decision-making. Simultaneously, pedagogical innovation is fostering more engaging, learner-centered, and flexible educational environments that prepare students to thrive in an interconnected and complex world.
As higher education institutions continue to internationalize and diversify their student populations, there is a growing need to develop sustainable and interdisciplinary approaches that transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries. Such approaches can equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and global competencies required to address pressing societal challenges while enhancing academic success, intercultural understanding, and lifelong learning.
This special issue seeks to advance scholarly discourse on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, pedagogical innovation, and sustainable interdisciplinary learning within global and international education contexts. It welcomes theoretical, empirical, methodological, and practice-based contributions that explore how emerging technologies and innovative educational practices can foster equitable, inclusive, and sustainable learning experiences for diverse student communities, particularly international students.
