Corrections & Retractions Policy
The Journal of International Students (JIS) is committed to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the scholarly record and follows the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Corrections
Minor errors that do not affect the validity of the research (e.g., typographical errors, author affiliations) will be corrected through a formal correction notice linked to the original article.
Retractions
Articles may be retracted in cases of:
- Proven research misconduct (e.g., data fabrication, falsification, plagiarism)
- Significant errors that invalidate findings
- Ethical violations in research or publication
Retraction notices will:
- Be clearly identified and linked to the original article
- State the reason for retraction
- Remain permanently accessible
Expressions of Concern
Where concerns are raised but investigations are ongoing, the journal may issue an editorial expression of concern to alert readers.
All decisions regarding corrections and retractions are made by the editorial team following a thorough and transparent review process in accordance with COPE standards.
