Call for Papers: Sustainable Futures in International Education

The Journal of International Students invites researchers, scholars, educators, policymakers, and practitioners to submit manuscripts for a special section on Sustainable Futures in International Education: Equity, Emerging Technologies, Global Mobility, and Inclusive Development.

This special section welcomes high-quality empirical, conceptual, theoretical, and review-based articles that examine current and emerging issues in international higher education. We especially encourage submissions that explore international students, global learning, study abroad, transnational education, intercultural engagement, international faculty, equity, employability, technology, and sustainable development in higher education.

Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:

  • International student experiences, wellbeing, and academic success
  • Global student mobility and internationalisation of higher education
  • AI, emerging technologies, and international student learning
  • Study abroad, global learning, and intercultural competence
  • Equity, inclusion, diversity, and access in international education
  • Green skills, employability, and career development
  • International faculty and sustainable innovation
  • Transnational education and global partnerships
  • Digital internationalisation and virtual exchange
  • International student support services and institutional strategies
  • Global citizenship education and sustainable development
  • Comparative studies of international higher education systems
  • Future trends and innovations in global higher education
