Note: JSARD is a member of the STAR Scholars Network, a non-profit organization. JSARD operates through the voluntary services of board members and editors. Service is an opportunity to engage in a significant research activity, view research first hand, and participate in the evaluation of scholarly research. Individuals may use this service towards doctoral degree requirements or faculty tenure and promotion activities. JSARD lists board members name and affiliation on our website, but provides no monetary reward, as all positions in the Journal are unpaid.
Open Positions
The Journal of School Administration Research and Development (JSARD) is accepting applications for the Peer Review Board and Editorial Production Team members on a rolling basis. We hope you will consider applying for one of these positions.
Peer Review Board
Reviewers review up to three manuscripts per year assigned by the editorial team based on the Reviewer’s interests and expertise. Reviewers have up to 6 weeks to submit reviews. Reviewers must hold a doctoral degree with a record of writing and publication. We recognize excellence in peer review with our annual Editor’s Choice award. We also update Peer Review Board members on our website annually with a list of all reviewers who provide timely, detailed, and constructive reviews in line with the journal's Aims & Scope.
How to Apply
You may apply to serve as a reviewer at anytime. To apply, register as a reviewer on our website and add your bio statement and reviewing interests. To add your bio statement, click your username link from the upper right corner. Choose the view profile link then select the public tab. Add your bio statement in the textbox. To add reviewing interests, select the roles tab. Enter keywords in the reviewing interests text box. The more keywords you include in your profile, the better we will be able to match you with appropriate manuscripts. Add at least 5 reviewing interests topics to your profile including:
- subjects and/or topics areas
- countries, world regions, and/or populations
- general preferences for qualitative and/or quantitative
- specific statistical and/or methodological areas of expertise
- epistemological and/or theoretical perspectives
By adding a few keywords to your profile, you ensure that you will be invited to review manuscripts that best fit your interests. At any point, you may remove yourself from the journal's list of reviewers by updating your profile or sending an email to support@ojed.org.
Editorial Production Team
We also invite those with special copyediting, administrative, social media, graphic design, or technical skills to serve on our Editorial Production Team as:
- Copy Editors
- Cover Designers
- Layout & Proofreaders
- Social Media Managers
How to Apply
You may volunteer to serve on the Editorial Production Team at anytime. To volunteer, send an email to our Editor, Josh Kunnath at editor@jsard.org with the role(s) you would like to offer support. Applications will be reviewed by current members of the Production Team and notifications will be sent to applicants within 4 weeks from their application date.
