About the Journal
The Journal of Transformative Education Research, Initiatives, and Practices (JTERIP) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the STAR Scholars Network and coordinated by Delaware State University’s Department of Education faculty. JTERIP provides a scholarly platform for examining equity-centered educational transformation across the P–20 continuum in both U.S. and global contexts. The journal welcomes research, theory, and practice-oriented submissions that interrogate and reimagine education systems toward justice and inclusion.
JTERIP emphasizes an asset-based approach to educational research, highlighting the strengths of diverse populations and critically examining inequities across socially constructed spaces. The journal invites studies and reflections on key areas such as student development, educator preparation, leadership, pedagogical innovation, cultural and racial identity, LGBTQ+ experiences, disability and accessibility, spiritual development, and transformative educational practices.
JTERIP is published twice annually (Spring and Fall) and is indexed in major academic databases. It is fully open access, and all articles are freely available to readers around the world immediately upon publication.
