Call for Papers: Special Issue on “Hispanics in Higher Education”
You are invited to submit a paper for possible inclusion in a special issue of the Journal of Underrepresented and Minority Progress (JUMP). The Journal of Underrepresented & Minority Progress (JUMP) is a refereed interdisciplinary publication (Print ISSN 2574-3465 & Online ISSN 2574-3481) dedicated to the educational, economic, and social progress of minority and underrepresented communities around the world. It is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, international, open-access journal published by STAR Scholars Network and is indexed on SCOPUS, one of the major indexing databases for peer-reviewed literature.
It will explore the efforts and limitations of using various scopes such as: Dual language classrooms, curriculum, cross-cultural education research, and other topics directed at Hispanic influence in higher education.
This special issue aims to provide a platform for researchers and practitioners to present new findings and breakthroughs related to Hispanic participation in higher education. We invite paper submissions in the following categories: Faculty issues, undergraduate and graduate student participation, campus life.
Areas of interest for this special journal issue include, but are not limited to, the following topics: Hiring and retention of Hispanic faculty, recruitment and retention of Hispanic students (graduate and undergraduate), Hispanic students and mentorship, and Hispanic participation on campus life.
JUMP seeks to provide a venue for meaningful, purposeful, and actionable scholarship and invites articles, dialogues, and further remarks in accordance with its editorial policy (see https://ojed.org/index.php/jump/about/submissions).
Submission Guidelines:
An email to the guest editor with the paper’s title, authors, and abstract will serve as your “intent to submit” notification. After receiving your letter of intent, we’ll email you our author guidelines. The selection criteria will involve relevance to the theme, paper clarity, intellectual significance, and originality. The full manuscript should be submitted to the guest editor as a word file by the given deadline.
