Vol. 11 No. 2 (2026): Fall Issue
The Journal of School Administration Research and Development is pleased to present Volume 11, Issue 2, the final issue of our 10th anniversary year. The six articles in this issue look at the everyday decisions that shape K–12 educational leadership: how educators define learning, build trust, organize collaborative work, communicate with communities, and pursue equitable instruction.
The contributions approach these decisions from several directions. They reconsider "exceeds" in standards-based grading; examine leaders' accounts of efficacy, collaboration, and trust; and investigate why administrators use social media. Other articles explore how assistant principals are perceived as instructional leaders, how teaching and learning teams can support district implementation, and how collective leadership can advance equitable instruction.
Together, these articles give school and district administrators, researchers, and teacher-leaders questions and approaches for examining their own settings. Because the authors use different forms of evidence, including empirical studies, a literature review, and a practice-informed analysis, readers will find the work most useful when they consider each article's context and methods.
